I read to go up a size but I only had to go up a half size. I’m typically a 9 and got an 8.5 and I think they fit perfectly. These are really great!

Reviewers who said to go down half a size were right and I did that, so the fit is good. I love how they look–reminds me of 1930s shoes–and will use them a lot.

Runs very large. I got 1/2 a size down (6) and it still did not fit. It had 1.5 inches of space in the front. However, I do have a narrow foot.
Adjusting the straps does not help.
Not sure if they’re cute or look like clown shoes, but the quality of leather is pretty nice and the shoe is well made. It is heavy and clunky because of the lug sole, so keep that in mind.

Works well for a wide foot without the heel slipping. First pair of penny/lugged loafers (have tried many) that have worked and comfortable.

Honestly the heel slipped for me so it was a no go. The leather is nice and the soles are not so rigid as to inhibit walking as many of the lugged soled shoes do. I wish it would have worked but anymore the heel area inside leather shoes are loose. Don’t know why. Maybe it is cheaper to make shoes this way but this trend is not appreciated. Never in my life have I had such trouble finding a nice leather shoe where the heel is fitted. My feet are average width and size so this is confusing. That said if you do not have an issue with a shoe slipping in your heel, then this is a cool looking shoe that is well priced and also seems to be made from nice leather. I did have to unbuckle it to get it on or the “tongue” would bunch up but that wasn’t hard to do.

These run so large. Not just length but also width and just general space inside the shoe. This is my second pair. Returned the first in my usual size and ordered .5 size smaller. They feel just as big. My heel walks right out of the shoe.
I wanted to love them – but they are a complete miss. Too bad, they are cute shoes.

Dashing style! Love the shoe…but my feet did not. Slipped n the heel but every other category was in normal range. I had to return them. I so wanted these shoes. I only got to try them an hour and got a blister.

I love these shoes. They have a type of old school charm. I imagine Katherine Hepburn wearing them with a great pant suit. I have worn them with slacks and black tights. They are just so classy. Love them.

The pair I received were stained and scuffed. They’d obviously been worn, not just tried on. I returned them immediately.

It’s a very heavy shoe, very thick leather, and it’s so tight-cut around the ankle it has that “wrinkly hose” effect on the top of your foot, so not flattering. If you’re 19 and like heavy, clunky shoes it might be your thing.

Ok. I read some reviews that this was wider and runs a bit large . I wear an 8.5 w and so I ordered an 8.5. Couldn’t come close to getting my foot in it. The ball of my foot barely touched the bottom and my heel stayed 2” outside the shoe. These may be the smallest 8.5 shoes I gave tried on! Not sure if I will try bigger but I would go a full size up to 9.5 if I did.
That being said they had a wonderful feel in the hand and were attractive.

These are SOOOO CUTE but WAY TOO BIG. I wear a size 7.5 and the 7 was stlll too large. Returning for a 6.5.
