Gorgeous — the ankle strap is a unique and lovely twist for a spring/summer loafer worn with longer skirts/dresses or cropped pants and they appear to be very well-made — with one aesthetic drawback (according to my taste, of course) and one (or two) fit drawbacks. Aesthetic: I wish the square toe was a true 90s square; the tapered square toe is a smidge matronly to my eye. Fit: They either run just a tiny bit short in the length or the tapered toe is crowding my big toe ever-so-slightly. I am typically a size 9. No 9.5 available at Zappos but I ordered a 9.5 elsewhere (only under sizing duress ?) to compare the fit. I imagine I will keep whichever fits better, tapered square toe notwithstanding. Just to be clear, I have an average width foot with a narrow heel and slightly wide toes and I wouldn’t say the toe box is tight, just the very tip of it — and the ankle strap keeps my narrow heel from slipping out, as it often does with loafers. Do be aware that there is zero arch support. I popped in a pair of Aetrex 3/4 insoles right on top of the insoles of the shoes when I tried them on. Problem solved. I should add that these are way expensive for me, but I think they will be a staple if I can get the fit right. The price hurts but I like them enough to suck it up.

I like these shoes a lot and they are comfortable but a little too wide. I’ll keep them but I’ll have to wear some loafer socks with them.
